A workshop about the interview prompt: Tell Me About Yourself
Time & Location
About the Event
It's almost time. Your interviewer appears on the Zoom session. After a few pleasantries, they lean forward, and they ask you: "Tell me about yourself."
Where do you go from here?
Is your natural tendency to talk about your work history, but that's all there on your resume? So, what else can you tell them?
If done well, this prompt provides a possibility to steer the interview in your direction. We'll show you how.
What will we be doing in this workshop?
We'll share with you some simple techniques to answer this prompt and some other interview questions. We'll practice with the attendees and help them frame their answers. We'll leave the workshop with some homework. Nothing too strenuous. We promise.
What supplies do you need?
Writing pad/paper, pen/pencil, and a device to access zoom on - that's about it.
